Since launching Louie Louie in 2023, we have advocated for the responsible regulation of hemp beverages to ensure safety for our consumers and consistency for our retail, restaurant and bar partners. We believe we finally have a solution, but it needs your support TODAY. Because if we don't succeed, Louie Louie and ALL hemp beverages will be stripped from shelves on November 12, 2026.
Here's the background:
In November 2025, without any public input, Congress included a ban on hemp products in the bill to reopen the federal government. President Trump signed it into law, making hemp-derived THC products containing more than .4 mg total THC per container illegal nationwide on November 12, 2026.
Without regulation, safe products like Louie Louie disappear, and the illicit market fills the gap.
The solution:
Tell Congress that you want hemp beverages regulated like other adult beverages.
• Support the bipartisan Lawful Hemp Protection Act (LHPA).
• Ask for an extension on the November 12th deadline so a complete bill can pass.
Find your Senator - call and ask them to support the CR extension and to support the LHPA!

More about the Lawful Hemp Protection Act (LHPA)
If passed, this bill from Representatives Andy Barr (R-Ky.) and Angie Craig (D-Minn.) would replace the November ban with a federal regulatory framework for hemp products.
Instead of prohibition, the bill establishes robust regulations, including:
- Age verification requirements (21+)
- Federal labeling and packaging standards
- FDA-established serving limits based on research
- A ban on dangerous synthetic cannabinoids
- Protections for interstate commerce
- Required USA sourcing for hemp
